My paintings are about my enduring passion for the beautiful landscapes of The Yorkshire Dales, Coast and Moors where I work , have lived and have roots.
Working loosely in oils often plein air, I try to capture the ephemeral and the transient, for example mist, wild flowers blowing in the breeze set against the changing backcloth of the hills and the shifting light.
Whilst being an emotional, expressive, poetic response to the landscape, I try to capture a sense of place.
I have a degree in Fine Art and a degree in Art History, Classics and English Literature.
